The Jim Inglis Crash Of His MGB Into His House

Published by at 12:48 pm under Uncategorized

A memory about former club member Jim Inglis (# 128; 1973 MGB). He lived in Manotick along the River Road. His house was down at the river’s edge while his parking pad & garage were at the top of the hill. One day he parked his B near the edge of the parking pad and then walked down the stairway to the house. While he was walking down the stairway, the B somehow found a way to creep to the edge of the parking pad and roll down the hill.... right past him, and into his kitchen [ if the B had not drove into the kitchen, it would have ended up in the Rideau River ]. Jim took some pictures of the event to share with the club ( and the insurance company ). Jim had left the car in neutral without the parking brake secured, and the parking pad had a slight slope..... towards the embankment.
