Ottawa MG Club

Meet at Andrew Haydon Park on Carling Ave in the West end of Ottawa on Saturday, May 5. We plan to depart from this location at 10am so be sure to arrive on time. The planned route will take us on a 1.5 to 2 hour tour west of the city and finish at The Old Mill Pub in Ashton where folks are welcome to stop in for food, drink, and chatter.

This is a “Fair Weather” event…, if it is raining on Saturday morning, the event will not be held. The North American MGA Register has declared Saturday May 5, 2012 to be “Drive Your MGA Day”. We call it “Drive Your MG-eh! Day”. All club members are invited to join the run.

Bring your Spring Tune Up tools, projects & parts and manuals.
The club will supply pizza and soda pops for lunch from Willy’s Pizza.

Ottawa MG Club Special Drive and Show Event at Fairbairn House.
As part of our celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the MGB, the Ottawa MG Club is helping to celebrate the restoration of Fairbairn House. Located near the covered bridge in Wakefield, club member Michael Cooper has played an important part in this restoration. Club member Brian Swan will first lead us on a drive about the area; then we will break for lunch; then we will display our cars at the restored house for all visitors to see.

“KIMBER FEST”
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Kimber Fest, it is sort of a fun academic weekend with talks and seminars about MGs and MG history. Not a car convention (you of course can come in an MG) but it is more about History, collections and memorabilia.

OMGC – ROUND THE LAKES TOUR 2012

The OMGC Round the Lakes Tour 2012 will take place from May 12th to May 16th 2012 and will involve five days driving and site seeing including visits to the Motor Museum in Detroit and the Rock and Roll Museum in Cleveland and possibly the Little British Car Company Offices in Dearborne.
