The CORN BOIL RUN will get underway at the crossroads in Manotick near the Tim Horton’s with a departure time of 11am [a very civilized time to get going on the run to Alfred, Ontario] Bring your favourite chair to sit in and your favourite beverage to sip on and your favourite bathing suit to take a dip in the pool and your favourite hat to protect yourself from the sunshine. All British Car Day in the Kingston City Park.BCD2010flyer At 6AM Sunday morning, a thunderstorm was rolling through Brockville and Kilmarnock and the rain coming down looks to me to be with us for the day. The weather forecast for Ottawa is for thundershowers in the morning and rain for the better part of the day and the same for Kingston. Terry Haines has confirmed with the Boot’n'Bonnet organizers that the show will still go on as planned. So it looks like the planned group departures will not be conducted. Of course, even if the rain dampens the group driving plan, you are welcome to travel down to the Kingston City Park and drop into the show.

Cumberland Heritage Museum & Picnic Day. Bring a picnic lunch! OMGCers are invited to meet at McDonalds on Innes Road near RONA at 11:00am. Gerry Neville will lead a 45 minute run to the Cumberland Heritage Museum. After parking our MGs in a special area, we will picnic together and then tour the museum at our own leisurely pace. An Information Scavenger Hunt is planned for participants. Museum entry fee is $7 per person ($5 for seniors)
