Importing Cars To Canada

Here is some info that a friend that just imported an Audi A4 (cost~ $27K) provided in answer to your question:
We bought the Audi from Brian Ogurchak of Canam Imports in Chandler, Arizona www.canamimports.com
The shipper was Turbo Auto Transport. www.turbo.at.com Shipping cost from Chandler to Richmond, Ontario was about $1,500.00
Customs Broker was A&A Customs Brokers Ltd.
www.aacb.com Their fees were $250.00 for entry preparation, $106.05 for admin, $20 for a single entry bond and $195. vehicle inspection fee.
The Audi was not assembled in North America so it was subject to an extra 6% duty. We paid the 6% and GST to the broker on entry and PST when we licensed the car. Remember that you cannot get a temporary permit in Ontario for an imported vehicle until it has had the RIV inspection. Canadian Tire does the inspections. No appointment required.
